SUMMARY

Responsible for cooking meals that adhere to set nutritional standards, managing/maintaining appropriate inventory of all food/related items, and ensuring compliance with all health regulations/Licensure standards related to food service. Supports milieu/daily living activities and monitoring of client behavior. Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the program. Must be able to provide transportation assistance as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Knowledge: Must have a high school diploma or GED. This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

Experience: One year experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. Experience with the food service industry preferred.

Physical: Exposure to biological hazards. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Close eye work. Valid driver's license with F endorsement. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.  Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. CPR and First Aid certification required.

COMPENSATION:

Salary range for this position starts at approximately $11.35 per hour depending on relevant experience and education.

The Helen Ross McNabb Center (www.mcnabbcenter.org) is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services.  The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient, and crisis services.
