The Facilities Event & Support Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
- This is a full time 40 hour per week position; it will require some overtime and will be required for on-call emergency.
- Performs general maintenance tasks.
- Logging and tracking helpdesk requests, meeting with vendors, moving of furniture and event items.

- Staff must present well and be able to communicate with both vendors and donors.
- Position requires seasonal events so hours will very according to the need.
- Must be able to stand in the heat for long periods.

JOB STANDARDS
- This position is dedicated to assisting our community relations and foundation department with all client, staff, and fund raising events.
- This will require flexible hours, on site to set up and tear down structures, deliver and pick up packages.
- Unload gifts, event swag, and other items used for events.
- This position will assist with all Center events.
- Hauling of tents, drinks, ice, coolers, signage, tables and other event items.
- Driving large vehicles to and from event, which may include shuttling people.
- Set up and tear down signs and banners, install clings, signage or other celebratory signage for the center.
- Hauling and purchasing supplies for events.
- Contact for vendors for any facility related issues.
- Distribute toys, donations, etc. to rural clinics.
- Direct traffic, drive golf carts, put, and take down cones for events.
- Pull and haul off trash for events.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times with good hygiene.
- Attend team meetings, take direction and assist with planning of resources for events.
- Observe and report areas that could be improved.
Job Duties while no events are taking place.
- Monitors and reports any facility items needing addressed, ceiling tiles replaced, lights out, trip hazards, or pest issues.
- Basic knowledge of all CARF and Licensure requirements for facilities.
- Knowledge of vehicle policies and safety requirements ensures that vehicle assigned to technician is maintained.
- The technician is responsible for all traffic violations while operating a HRMC vehicle
- Assists with oil changes for facilities with center vehicles.
Assist with fire drills if needed. - Participates with on call as needed as long as it does not interfere with Center events.
- Ensures all monthly PM's are completed timely.
- Avoids real or perceived conflicts of interest and reports all violations of policy or code of ethics.
- Works all tickets assigned timely and with accurately.
- Assists with moves, putting together furniture, and new building startups and shutdowns.
- Ensure that all HRMC Emergency calls are responded to and required to contact supervisor with an update on emergency calls before leaving job site property.
- Required to answer work phone or respond back within 30 minutes.
- Observe all safety practices from wearing PPE to being aware of you and your team's safety.
- Assist with monthly safety inspections for buildings, opens tickets for all safety issues.
- Conduct all work in a courteous and professional manner, leave all work areas clean of tools and debris, to ensure the safety of all clients and staff.

COMPENSATION:
- Starting salary for this position is approximately $18.97 /hr based on relevant experience and education.
QUALIFICATIONS - Facilities Event & Support Technician
Experience:
- Some knowledge of computers and computer software required to enter time and preform annual modules.
- Must be able to work in an environment that includes adults and children.
- Applicants must be able to work independently, and with minimal supervision, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to drive a center vehicle.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years' experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance and construction concepts required.
Physical:
- Normal facility operations environment.
- Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license.
- Normal/corrected eyesight.
- Hearing within normal range.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladder.
- Set up and take down event equipment, haul large boxes, trash, coolers, and other supplies for events.
