The HR Master's Team Leader

  • The goal of the position is to lead and work with the team to reduce time to hire through excellent processes and quick turnaround and excellent communication with supervisors.
  • This position oversees legal terminations, unemployment, unemployment hearings, FCRA notifications, all background checks, initial drug screen, and all new hire paperwork.
  • The successful candidate will be skilled at implementing more efficient processes in all areas of oversight.
  • This positions also manages internal PRN requests, HR survey data processing, and QAQI management. This is an exempt position.

1. Professionalism & Teamwork

  • Communicates effectively with all HR team members.
  • Embodies professionalism in appearance, communication, work ethic and work quality.
  • Adheres to all Policy and Procedures of McNabb Center.
  • Maintains the utmost confidentiality in all HR matters.
  • Demonstrates professionalism through responsiveness, a positive work climate and cultural competency.
  • Engage hiring supervisors and all staff in a positive, professional manner with the goal of efficiency, effectiveness and problem solving.
  • Facilitates effective and accurate communication between department team members.
  • Actively participates in team meetings/discussions.
  • Triages calls and emails to determine urgency and returns them in a timely manner.
  • Target to return emails and internal phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Is an effective team member in the Human Resource Department.

2. Training

  • Trains supervisors on the new hire process 4 times per year.
  • Effectively works with other departments to successfully screen and hire new employees.

3. Termination & Unemployment

  • Oversees and manages these processes. Ensures compliance.

4. HR Documentation

  • Maintains all documentation in e3 and Dynafile-no paper.

5. General HR tasks

  • Assists with maintaining accurate materials are located in shared drive for all HR to utilize in shared I drive, Dynafile, and e3.
  • Calculates and reports HR statistics for QAQI.
  • Assists in maintaining e3 accuracy.
  • Assists as needed during personnel file audits.
  • Serves as e3 help desk for new hire and screening purposes.
  • Has excellent knowledge of and utilizes agency Policies and Procedures, especially the Workforce Development section, and helps train supervisors on these items.
  • Assists with HRIS updates, including updating job titles, ending old positions, adding additional positions, and changing reporting supervisors for positions.
  • Utilizes agency credit card to pay for services rendered and submits receipts using online database per policy.
  • Assists with special projects and duties assigned.

COMPENSATION: 

  • Starting salary for this position is approximately $51,004/yr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility required to be successful.

Travel:

  • Travel between sites and to Chattanooga occasionally required.

Equipment/Technology:

  • Ability to use a computer, scanner, copy machine, fax machine, office phone, A/V equipment required.

QUALIFICATIONS - HR Master's Team Leader

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, HR, or related field. Knowledge of human resource policies and employment law preferred.
  • HR Certification preferred.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • One year of experience in background checks, onboarding, and hiring preferred.
  • HR knowledge preferred.

Physical:

  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
