Healthy Families Team Leader

SUMMARY

The Healthy Families Team Leader is responsible for the supervision of direct service staff (Family Support Workers and/or Family Assessment Workers), maintain weekly supervision with staff for quality assurance, monitor staff's clinical productivity standards, maintain a partial caseload as needed, and complete other duties assigned by supervisor.

This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Knowledge: A Bachelor's degree in one of the health and science or human services field preferred.  Knowledge of infant and childhood development, family dynamics, maternal-infant health, dynamics of child abuse and neglect, mental disorders and the common psychological traits associated with the target population in relation to parenting.  Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License with the ability to get an F endorsement to transport clients.

Experience: Must have course work and/or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, family services, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, suicide, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The knowledge or experience of family-centered and strength based service provisions.  Two years of direct experience with target population required, and supervisory experience preferred. A solid understanding of or experience in supervising and motivating staff, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments. Infant Mental Health Endorsement preferred.

Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity.  Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation.  Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.

Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize work in order to achieve multiple goals.  Ability to relate and work well with the public and other professionals.  Ability to present ideas/information clearly and effectively.  Ability to plan, implement, and monitor program and staff development.  Ability to supervise and monitor attainment of program goals and objectives.  Experience with reflective practice preferred.

Physical: Outpatient community-based environment. Hearing of normal and soft tones as well as close eye work. Valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. To ensure the safety of the clients and staff, this position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques (Handle with Care) that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.

COMPENSATION

Salary range for this position starts at approximately $15.38 per hour depending on relevant experience and education.

The McNabb Center (www.mcnabbcenter.org) is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services.  The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient, and crisis services.
