IST Clinician

The IST Clinician is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment of persons seeking professional help for mental health and co-occurring issues.  This includes initial assessments, diagnosing, triage/crisis counseling, and individual therapy. Will serve both adults and children. 

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $44,100 /yr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:  This position has a regular schedule of Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. There is no on-call for this position and employee is off on Center designated holidays. In person daily attendance is essential for this position except in instances of approved time off.

Travel: Position does not require routine travel or transportation of clients. Some minimal travel may occur for off-site training opportunities.

Equipment/Technology: Position is required to enter clinical information into electronic medical records software. Position requires frequent use of telephone and intermittent use of telehealth software platform (camera/speakers).

QUALIFICATIONS - IST Clinician

Education: 

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field of study.  
  • Eligible for certification and licensure by the state of Tennessee if such exists for his/her degree/profession.

Experience / Knowledge

  • One year experience preferred.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
