    JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

    Summary of position:

    • Provides weekly individual and family psychotherapy to adults with mental health diagnosis, or are at the onset of mental illness, and may be experiencing a family disruption or school problem.
    • Clinician will ensure compliance with productivity standards set by the Services Coordinator by scheduling determined number of clients for weekly session, providing follow up phone calls when clients cancel or miss scheduled appointments, and provide support staff with information for appointment reminder calls.
    • Clinician will attend monthly treatment team meetings and provide the psychiatrist/APN with needed information regarding clients' current situation and family circumstances.
    • Clinician will attend doctor appointments as needed, will discuss options/goals for clients receiving services, and will provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
    • Clinician will embrace the key values of clinical services: empowerment, normalization, rehabilitation, and continuity of care.

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT

    • This position will be housed in the McMinn County center located in Athens, TN

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Works in a multi-disciplinary team approach to meet the needs of consumers.

    • Attends supervision on a weekly basis without tardiness.
    • Attends administrative team meeting on a monthly basis without tardiness.
    • Responds to all flags, emails, and voicemails within 2 business days.

    2. Complete all documentation in compliance with CARF and SSOC standards.

    • Maintains a 90% benchmark for Crisis Plan completion.
    • Submits all progress notes within 2 days of the occurrence.
    • Completes treatment plan during first 30 days of treatment and at six month intervals.

    3. Monitoring of treatment effectiveness and compliance, including assistance with medication.

    • 15% chart sample evidences in notes that therapist has addressed medication compliance with the client.
    • 15% of chart sample indicates in notes that client's goals are consistent with assessment.
    • 15% of chart sample indicates in notes that services are consistent with goals.
    • 15% of chart sample indicates in notes that clients are involved in their treatment.
    • 15% of chart sample indicates in notes that participants had positive outcomes.
    • 15% of chart sample indicates in notes that services related to goals/objectives.
    • 15% of chart sample demonstrates that services are documented and treatment plans are reviewed and updated in accordance with SSOC.

    4. Provide linkage to other community supports, agencies, or services that are appropriate for client.

    • 15% chart sample demonstrates in notes therapist's knowledge of community resources and adequate linkage.

    5. Completion of expected productivity as outlined at the beginning of each month.

    • Submits a minimum of 128 face to face contact hours per month.

    COMPENSATION:

    • Starting salary for this position is approximately $48,201/year based on relevant experience and education.

      Schedule:

      • Primary working hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

      Travel:

      • This position requires utilizing a personal, dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

      Equipment/Technical Competency:

      • Must have basic competency in office applications such as Word and Excel.
      • Will have access to desktop phone and computer for scheduling and completing data entry in the electronic medical record.
      • Position requires regular use of a computer, and appropriate phone etiquette.
      • Position is required to respond to all voicemails, emails and messages within 2 business days.

      Equipment/Technology:

      • Position must be able to complete electronic documentation.

      QUALIFICATIONS - McMinn County IST Master's Level Clinician

      Experience / Knowledge:

      One-year experience in a human services or related field preferred.

      Education / License:

      Must have Master's degree in Human services or related field, with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and intellectual disabilities.

      Professional License is preferred.

      Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:

      • Exposure to biological hazards, hearing of normal and soft tones, and close eye work.
      • Lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
      • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
      • This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, running, and walking.
      • Valid Driver's License
