The Peer Support Center Activity Leader is responsible for transporting program participants to and from site activities and leads social recreational activities in the community.REQUIREMENTS
Education/Knowledge: Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Maintaining certified driver status is a condition of employment.
Experience: Must be a primary mental health consumer and have a desire to be a role model for recovery. Experience in customer service helpful.
Physical: Exposure to biological hazards. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Close eye work. Valid Class D driver's license with an F endorsement. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Required to be certified in, and effectively implement, verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements; including but not limited to, grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.
