The SOR Team Leader serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, acting in the role of leader to team members. Able to provide and ensure services are delivered, documented, and that data is collected, reviewed and reported accurately within required time frames. Maintains positive connections to team members, and to internal and external stakeholders and referral sources to ensure client experience and HRMC communication is seamless and productive. Has excellent verbal, written and computer skills. The SOR Team Leader ensures that delivery of services and follow up with clients and referral sources is maintained. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
Education/Knowledge: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Addictions, Social Work or other related field with three or more years of experience in direct work with clients. Should have broad knowledge and understanding of Medication Assisted Treatment, Motivational Interviewing, stages of change, harm reduction, 12 step and other Recovery Support services and best practices regarding substance use disorder treatment and recovery.
Experience: The ideal candidate has one to two years of management experience, an applicable leadership philosophy and ability to develop and apply core management skills. Must have experience and understanding in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, and treatment of substance use disorder, understanding of trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, crisis referral and extensive knowledge of community resources.
Experience working with special populations including individuals with Co-occurring Disorders, substance use disorders and mental health disorders. Computer expertise is required as timesheets, training modules, email and program documentation are computer and/or web-based.
Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license with an F endorsement OR the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
Physical: Hearing of normal and soft tones as well as close eye work. Valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. To ensure the safety of the clients and staff, this position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques (Handle with Care) that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.
Salary range for this position starts at approximately $16.78 per hour depending on relevant experience and education.
