Victim Re-Entry Team Leader

The Victim Re-Entry Team Leader is responsible for implementation of Re-Entry program including:

  • program oversight and supervision to ensure close coordination on all cases and to meet grant requirements
  • provides direct supervision to case managers in addition to therapy duties
  • responsible for the trauma-informed care of incarcerated and re-entry survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence
  • responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning which may include comprehensive mental health, alcohol and drug, and trauma assessment, encouraging treatment, providing necessary connections to treatment, and working directly with the criminal justice system to create an effective release plan
  • conducts evidence based treatment modalities in both individual and group settings
  • provides direct service delivery in KCSO Detention Facility within flexible hours, develops and implements appropriate treatment planning, provides crisis intervention and emergency services, interacts, coordinates and navigates with law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies, as well as utilizes center-wide and community resources as needed for client benefit. 
  • may perform case management functions to ensure that release planning is transitioned appropriately into the community
  • completes all necessary documentation in accordance with funding guidelines and policy and procedures.

COMPENSATION: Effective 8/1/22 Starting salary for this position is approximately $48,069/yr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:  Flexibility is a must as it may require some non traditional hours to meet the needs of service recipients.

Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. Staff members may be required to provide transportation in their personal vehicle and staff members are reimbursed for use of their vehicle for this purpose. This position may be required to travel to out of state conferences/meetings as applicable.

Equipment/Technology: This position does require high level computer skills for timekeeping, scheduling and use of electronic medical records entry, and extensive experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Outlook).

QUALIFICATIONS - Victim Re-Entry Team Leader

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field of study. 
  • Licensed or eligible for certification and licensure by the state of Tennessee.

 Experience / Knowledge:

  • One year experience preferred with specialized training/course work in trauma and victim services. 
  • Prior experience in the criminal justice/corrections and judicial system helpful.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones.
  • Close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. 
  • Effective communication skills, strong time management, and organizational skills are necessary to manage day to day job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. 
  • Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
