The Therapeutic Preschool Master's Level Clinician

JOB SUMMARY

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and family focused.
  • Complete assessments for mental health of children, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for children and their families.
  • Maintain trauma-informed and supportive relationships with children enrolled in program and their caregivers.
  • Run psychoeducational groups with children, including managing the group schedule, meals, therapeutic activities, and curriculum.
  • Assist children in learning, developing, and using self-regulation strategies that improve emotion regulation and reduce trauma-related behaviors using trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate interventions.
  • Complete outpatient individual and family therapy in accordance with productivity targets.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with partners on behalf of the children and families served.
  • Assist in tasks that improve overall management of program, including arranging transportation for clients, maintaining program supplies, overseeing interns, insurance authorizations, and other administrative tasks.
  • Complete documentation of program activities in timely manner and in accordance with program and Center-wide policies.

COMPENSATION:

  • Starting salary for this position is approximately $48,201/yr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:

  • Must be able to have excellent attendance and start the workday at assigned time.
  • Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm daily.

Travel:

  • This position is office-based with some occasional travel to other Center offices for training or duties.

Equipment/Technical Competency:

  • Should be proficient on a variety of office equipment, including: copier, scanner, fax machine, computer desktop/laptop, telephone, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS - Therapeutic Preschool Master's Level Clinician

Education/Knowledge:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Training in trauma informed care and interventions, child psychopathology, cultural diversity, and child development preferred.

Experience:

  • One-year experience using evidence-based trauma treatment methods with children preferred.

Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively utilize methods of crisis intervention including therapeutic holds. (training provided)
  • Valid driver's license with F endorsement.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and running.
