The Facilities Team Leader

JOB SUMMARY

  • Oversees the corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance of all properties and facilities.
  • The position will supervise the housing facilities technician and work with them on continual improvement to reach the goal of 95% passing. Assign work orders, follow up with vendors and manage the daily task of operating multiple facilities in multiple counties.
  • An essential job function is reliable, predictable 40 hours per week job, on site and in the community, with regular attendance.

1. Manages assigned staff according to Administrative and Personnel Policy and Procedure.

  • Completes facilities staff appraisals on time, adheres to progressive disciplinary procedures to address staff performance and behavior issues.
  • Complies with reporting requirements regarding FMLA eligible absences, disciplinary actions, workplace accidents, safety issues, etc.
  • Coordinates facilities projects by regularly communicating with involved organizational customers and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Completes modules work orders, opening and closing of tickets, timely.

2. Oversees documentation

  • Completes the required purchase order or expense request for projects.
  • Provides first bid for projects and works with procurement for the best vendor and price.
  • Benchmarks for your team will be created as a base standard for your team to review and improve on yearly.
  • Completing 75% of work orders within four business days.
  • Monthly and annual documentation of PM's
  • Reports QA/QI indicators quarterly.

3. Customer Service

  • Oversees the recording and tracking of all calls into software.
  • Priorities and assigns all work orders
  • Orders all required materials for both scheduled and unscheduled work requests
  • Coordinates all center office moves.

COMPENSATION:

  • Starting salary for this position is approximately $22.57 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

QUALIFICATIONS - Facilities Team Leader

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years' experience is required in the field of building maintenance and/or construction.
  • Least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of computers and computer software, iPad, and cell phone is required.

Education /Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED, associate's degree or 2 years' experience in the field preferred.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.
  • Computer work is required; ability to multi-task and follow up on project management items is required.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work with vendors.

Physical:

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Proficient in reading.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to type proficiently. Normal facility operations environment.
