The Ideal School Based Crisis Response Clinician serves as a primary clinician for the regional school based crisis response team. Counties served include Knox, Scott, Morgan, Campbell, Claiborne, Anderson, Union, Grainger, Roane, Loudon, Hamblen, Jefferson, Cocke, Sevier, Blount, and Monroe. The program will partner with schools to provide trauma-informed consultation, education, training, crisis support, screening, assessment, and referral/linkage. This position will also support and train staff to offer debriefing to school when suicides or community violence occurs. Clinician provides weekly individual and family psycho-therapy to children and adolescents ages 4-21 with a mental health diagnosis, as needed. Clinician is to provide psycho-social assessments for clients and provides diagnosis and appropriate referrals for clients assessed, as needed. Clinician provides crisis intervention and emergency services, as needed. Interfaces with the school system and other agencies to increase cooperation and consistency between home, school, and community. Treatment modalities used by Master's level clinicians providing therapy services include but are not limited to: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Play Therapy.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $40,349 /yr based on relevant experience and education.
Scheduling: An essential job function is a reliable, predictable 40 hour per week job, on site and in the schools and/or community, with regular attendance.
Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business and maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. "F" endorsement is required for occasional transportation of clients as needed. Position will oversee and provide support to all TDMHSAS Region II counties in East Tennessee.
Equipment/Technology: Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, e-mail, and internet use. Ability to utilize electronic medical records.
