Tennessee Health Link's main goal is to coordinate healthcare services for TennCare members with the highest behavioral health needs. The ideal Health Link Team Leader is responsible for:

  • Direct supervision and oversight of a Health Link Team through monitoring program productivity, managing caseloads, managing Health Link enrollments, monitoring clinical documentation, monitoring progress toward quality/efficiency metrics, conducting a variety of required reports, and directly managing front-line staff.
  • Provides coverage when needed to ensure all client needs and productivity targets are achieved.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $18.38/hour depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS - Health Link Team Leader

Education/License: Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in a health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, or a behavioral science field with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and mental retardation. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation, occupational therapy, criminal justice, or education, must have fifteen college-level semester hours of coursework in behavioral health and at least one year of work experience in the behavioral health setting.

Experience/KnowledgeOne year experience in the social work field or a behavioral health setting required. One year experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. 

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones; Close eye work.
  • Regular in-person attendance required.
  • Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required; required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. 
  • Must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
