Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Mobile Health Clinic

If so, we are currently seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the following position: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Mobile Health Clinic. 


The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Mobile Health Clinic is responsible for the delivery and oversight of psychiatric care to assigned patients involved in medication services provided in the Mobile Health Clinic. Provides primary and behavioral health assessments and pharmacotherapy to patients in individual appointments as well as working with a team of providers to address other related clinical and administrative patient needs. Provides all clinical services under the HRMC Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Protocol. An essential job function is a reliable, predictable 40 hour per week job, on site, with regular attendance, or whatever your job requires.

This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.


Education/Knowledge: Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Completed an approved Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Tennessee. Must have obtained dual certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Have Certificate of Fitness from the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Must have DEA certification. Must have a current CDL license and clean driving record.

Experience: Must have obtained a minimum of 500 clinical hours with a preceptor.

Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity.  Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. 

Physical: Exposure to biological hazards and unpleasant odors. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Close eye work. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. To ensure the safety of the clients and staff, this position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques (Handle with Care) that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.

The Helen Ross McNabb Center ( is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services.  The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient, and crisis services.
