The Ideal Community Specialist is responsible for assisting in reviewing referrals made to the program and assessing appropriateness for level of care and participating in the matching of child's needs to family strengths., partnering with foster parents and other community resources to benefit child's care, health, and safety, providing on-going assistance to parents on behavioral intervention and assists them in developing plans to address target behaviors, ensuring ongoing therapy visits with child's biological parents and siblings, liaising with court staff to provide written documentation of therapeutic goal progress, providing information for the monthly summaries of child's progress within the placement to team leader, ensuring all case records are maintained in an up to date condition on a weekly basis, 24 hr. on-call to families Monday-Friday; staff weekend on-call issues with program colleagues, and assisting in re-matching of children to new foster parents if placement disrupts.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $15.78 /hr based on relevant experience and education.
Schedule: The Community Specialist will have a flexible schedule based on the needs of the clients and families served.
Travel: Must be able to transport clients in personal or Center vehicle.
Equipment/Technology: Must possess knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
