If so, we are currently seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the following position: Regional Intervention Program Resource Consultant.
The job duties of the Regional Intervention Program Resource Consultant include:
· Physical presence in program during all program hours
· Case oversight and Case Management responsibilities
· Liaison service provider and childcare school intervention provider for assigned families
· Training, administrative activities, evaluation and program development for RIP program
· Works directly with children and families in the program to ensure that treatment objectives, evaluations and treatment summaries are individualized and accurate
· Meet with members of treatment team to discuss plans and individualized treatment modalities.
· Work with other RIP staff to develop appropriate treatment activities.
· Implementation and/or supervision of data collection and analysis
· Intake interviews
· Operate program in the absence of the RIP Coordinator
· Community information activities
· Coordinate with RIP Coordinator and with state Technical Assistant
· Other duties as requested
Pre-Service training for professional staff shall take place at the RIP Nashville facility in Nashville, TN. Successful completion of twenty-four (24) training days is required for new RIP staff before commencement of the local RIP Program operation, sixteen (16) days at the RIP-Nashville facility, and the remainder on-site under the direction of the RIP-TA. Training times and requirements should be discussed with the state technical assistance staff at the RIP Nashville facility. Limited waivers to allow current Coordinator to do some on-site training of staff may be granted by the RIP TA. Documentation of on-site training must be provided to the RIP TA.
This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
Education/Knowledge: The minimum requirements for the professional position (Resource Staff) shall include a Bachelor's Degree (Masters Preferred) in Special Education, Psychology, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or related field, with substantial (1-2 years) applicable experience in these fields or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of two years' experience working with preschool children and/or families. Some training and supervisory experience helpful but not required. Must be comfortable with and have excellent skills in public speaking. Must have excellent computer skills. Ability to effectively and ethically counsel children and families. Ability to present professionally and work within a team format to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions. Ability to work within a team format to meet positive goals for children and interface with other agencies involved in the ecology of the family. Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure and effective decision-making skills, ability to set and demonstrate appropriate boundaries, ability to be an empathic listener, flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to working with diverse populations. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management and organizational skills. Must be computer literate and have ability to communicate effectively (oral and written communication.)
Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
Physical: Hearing of normal and soft tones as well as close eye work. Valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. To ensure the safety of the clients and staff, this position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques (Handle with Care) that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.
Salary range for this position starts at approximately $14.61 per hour depending on relevant experience and education.
