Victim Re-entry Case Manager

The Victim Re-Entry Case Manager is responsible for:

  • providing trauma-informed services to offenders who are survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence. 
  • providing information and referral, agency linkage, advocacy, home visits, and follow-up services as defined by the Program Case Manager Service Plan.
  • providing direct service delivery in the community within flexible hours.
  • developing and implements appropriate treatment planning. 
  • providing crisis intervention and emergency services.
  • interacting and coordinating with law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $16.86 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Scheduling:  Flexibility is required to meet the needs of service recipients and the program.

Travel: Traveling to court dates and appointments with client as necessary.  F endorsement is required.

Equipment/Technology: Basic computer skills are required for time keeping, email, and documentation in the electronic medical record. 

QUALIFICATIONS - Victim Re-Entry Case Manager

Education: 

  • Bachelor degree preferred in health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, or a behavioral science field with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, crisis intervention, and developmental disabilities.

Experience / Knowledge

  • One year experience in the social work field and/or behavioral health and criminal justice setting preferred. 
  • Experience working in victim services (child abuse, sexual assault and/or domestic violence) preferred. 
  • Must be able to perform job responsibilities on an independent level.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
