Client Benefits Specialist

The Client Benefits Specialist is responsible for management of client information, involving all Center healthcare records and front office procedures, which includes:

  • Understanding of HIPAA as it relates to the management of records for all clients. 
  • Provides quality customer service and support for our clients, Center workforce, and other professionals. 
  • Answer/return phone calls, manage lobby, schedule appointments, and check potential/current clients' benefit eligibility on a daily basis. 
  • Management of several Just In Time scheduling reports. 
  • Frequent data entry required.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $14.76 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Scheduling: This position has a regular schedule of Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. There is no on-call for this position and employee is off on Center designated holidays. In person daily attendance is essential for this position except in instances of approved time off.

Travel: Travel to other McNabb worksites may be required.

Equipment/Technology: This position requires data entry, familiarity with scheduling and electronic medical records software, Microsoft Office products such as Word/Excel and frequent use of email.

QUALIFICATIONS - Client Benefits Specialist


  • Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare records management and switchboard/receptionist experience preferred.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Minimum of one year related experience preferred.


  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
