The Ideal IPS Employment Specialist is responsible for the completion of all phases of employment service: 1) Intake, 2) Engagement, 3) Assessment, 4) Job Placement, 5) Job Coaching, and 6) Follow Along Supports. Ensures consumers have access to benefits counseling/work incentives planning. Works closely with Vocation Rehabilitation Specialists and mental health treatment teams to place consumers in competitive, diverse jobs that are tailored to meet the consumer's individualized needs and preferences. Develops and maintains a strong employer network. Adheres to the 8 Practice Principles of IPS and assists in maintaining fidelity to the model, other community resources to benefit child's care, health, and safety, providing on-going assistance to parents on behavioral intervention and assist them in developing plans to address target behaviors. They will help ensure the continuation of ongoing therapy visits with child's biological parents and siblings, liaise with court staff to provide written documentation of therapeutic goal progress, provide information for the monthly summaries of child's progress within the placement to team leader, and ensure all case records are maintained in an "up to date" condition on a weekly basis.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $15.99 /hr based on relevant experience and education.
Schedule: This position has a regular schedule of Monday - Friday 8a.m. until 5p.m. There is no on-call for this position and employee is off on Center designated holidays. In person daily attendance is essential for this position except in instances of approved time off. This position may be required to attend events outside of the standard schedule.
Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. Staff members may be required to provide transportation in their personal vehicle and staff members are reimbursed for use of their vehicle for this purpose. This position may be required to travel to out of state conferences/meetings as applicable.
Equipment/Technology: This position does require high level computer skills for timekeeping, scheduling and use of electronic medical records entry, and extensive experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
