SUMMARY - Creating Homes Initiative Regional Housing Facilitator

Acts as the Regional Housing Facilitator for the 16 counties located in Region 2. Effectively leverages funding from various state, local, federal, and private entities to maintain and/or increase the number of safe, affordable, quality, permanent supportive housing options for persons in substance use recovery. Develops a maximum number of housing options based upon data-driven needs assessments and available funding each fiscal year throughout Region 2; also focuses on sustainment of current affordable housing options. Contributes to capacity building though service as a technical advisor to developers and organizations in Region 2 who wish to build, renovate, or develop affordable housing projects/options for individuals in recovery from substance use. Encourages collaborative partnerships throughout the region for project development.

This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

REQUIREMENTS - Creating Homes Initiative Regional Housing Facilitator

Education/Knowledge: Master's degree in social or behavioral science, business administration, or other related acceptable field.

This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a position that includes Federal, State, or private foundations grant writing preferred. Experience preferred in monitoring, evaluating, planning, or coordinating grant funded programs. Experience preferred in conducting assessments to identify current availability and unmet need for permanent housing and supportive services for persons in substance use recovery in the state of Tennessee.

Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity.  Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation.  Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.

Physical: Exposure to biological hazards. Hearing of normal and soft tones as well as close eye work. Valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. To ensure the safety of the clients and staff, this position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques (Handle with Care) that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.

Compensation: Starting salary for this position is approximately $ 45,854 /yr based on relevant experience and education.

The McNabb Center ( is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services.  The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient, and crisis services.
