The Executive Assistant/Operations Specialist provides professional support services to the Vice President and Operations Management staff. Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information related to personnel, finances, and operational data. Expected to be organized, manage operational projects autonomously, and improve functioning of operations of the Center. The holder of the position must reflect the values of the Center and professional code of conduct. The EA/OS manages tasks and public interface in a pleasant, helpful, and professional manner. This position provides a positive interface between operations and workforce as well as facilitates significant operational functions, identifies problems and barriers to effective operation and makes recommendations accordingly. This position also provides oversight of United Way submissions and attends required United Way functions as assigned. Coordinates and manages the following operational areas:
Education/Knowledge: Must have associates degree in business or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred; two years experience as an administrative assistant preferred regardless of education. Proficient in word processing, Excel; Microsoft and Outlook.
Experience: Minimum of two years experience as an administrative assistant.
Physical: Must be able to lift 25 lbs; proficient in reading; ability to communicate effectively; and ability to type proficiently.
Compensation: Starting salary for this position is approximatel $17.69/hour depending on education and experience.
