The Facilities Maintenance Staff will work a full time 40 hour per week position; it will require some overtime and will be required for on-call emergency. Performs general maintenance tasks. Preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, logging and tracking helpdesk request, meeting with vendors. Replaces light tubes/bulbs, fixtures and electrical components. Moving of furniture.
This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
Education/Knowledge: A high school diploma or GED. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC systems, construction materials, and general construction techniques is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years' experience is required in the field of building maintenance and/or construction. Some knowledge of computers and computer software is required. Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical: Exposure to biological hazards. Typical facility operations environment. Normal or corrected eyesight. Hearing within a normal range. Valid driver's license. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be able to work from a ladder for an extended period of time.
