Job Summary

  • Position entails activities of key components of the Community Relations/Development Department: marketing, communications and development/fundraising.
  • Plans, organizes, implements and monitors the organization's strategic print and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinates and monitors various in-house publications and communication platforms.

1. Content Creation and Management - Publications/Website/Social Media

  • Design layout for Center and Foundation publications including but not limited to, quarterly newsletter, e-newsletter and brochures.
  • Manage content and updates for Center and Foundation's website, intranet and social media platforms, work with team to develop editorial content for all online initiatives and ensure timely distribution.
  • Monitor social media interactions and engagement after regular business hours to ensure quick, quality response times for clients and community partners.

2. Marketing/Communications

  • Maintain and improve upon the Center and Foundation's website and existing social channels by developing content and timelines; set performance goals and design metrics to monitor progress and improve engagement with audiences.
  • Approve and monitor program-level social media accounts and lead staff on effective social media engagement; provide assistance and support as necessary to help staff develop and implement social strategies for their individual programs.
  • Coordinate and design email marketing in conjunction with development and communication campaigns.
  • Manage SEO for Center and Foundation website and social media accounts.
  • Receive and respond to requests for marketing assistance from clinical team for specific programs and projects.
  • Consult with director of community relations to develop and implement communications strategies.

3. Brand Management

  • Review logo usage and designs to maintain brand consistency across internal and external materials and platforms.
  • Train clinical team members in brand guidelines and design software (Canva, Powerpoint, etc.).

4. Event Marketing

  • Work with Foundation staff to produce fundraising event marketing materials, including advertisements, television promotions and sponsorship materials.
  • Maintain and improve upon event social media channels to better engage relevant audiences.

5. Outreach and Event Assistance

  • Includes outreach tabling events, graduation ceremonies, ribbon cuttings, open houses and groundbreakings.

COMPENSATION:

  • Starting salary for this position is approximately $24.81 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

QUALIFICATIONS - Marketing Specialist 2

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years in marketing, communications or related field preferable.
  • Software skills must include Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat.)
  • Basic knowledge of html code preferable.

Education / Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of current practices in marketing and design.

Physical:

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
