Join the McNabb Center Team as a Walk In Center Clinician for the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center (BHUCC) today!

The Walk In Center Clinician:

  • serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team and provides direct care through crisis services, evaluation, and triage 
  • completes intakes and supporting documentation for both CSU and BHUCC
  • provides phone triage, and one on one therapeutic interventions with individuals admitted to either CSU/BHUCC.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for full time is approximately $49,980 / yr based on relevant experience and education. LPC/LMFT starting salary is approximately $53,900, LCSW starting salary is approximately $55,859.  PRN (as needed positions may also be available with a different salary scale.)


  • Must have flexible schedule. 
  • Possible overnight shifts, holiday work and overtime. 
  • Must be punctual and maintain good attendance record. 
  • Must stay awake and alert on all shifts. 
  • The role of the WIC Clinician is to ensure coverage is provided 24/7 despite any weather conditions or holidays that arise.


  • Valid driver's license with F endorsement required. 
  • Reliable vehicle required. 
  • This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. 
  • Picking up clients from community locations and hospitals in personal vehicle or company vehicle. 
  • Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS - Walk In Center Clinician


  • Must have at least a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, or a behavioral science field.
  • Course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and developmental / intellectual disability.
  • Must be licensed or license eligible.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Experience preferred in the social work field or a behavioral health setting with extensive experience with special populations including individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis Disorders preferred. 
  • Experience working in a crisis setting and triage. 
  • Knowledge of community services for linkage and referral.
  • Computer experience is essential. Ability to learn and utilize EMR and create documents within the program.


  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors.
  • Hearing of normal to soft tones and close work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
