Team as a Walk In Center Clinician for the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center
(BHUCC) today!
The Walk In
Center Clinician:
- serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary
team and provides direct care through crisis services, evaluation, and
triage
- completes intakes and supporting documentation for both
CSU and BHUCC
- provides phone triage, and one on one therapeutic
interventions with individuals admitted to either CSU/BHUCC.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for full time is approximately
$49,980 / yr based on relevant experience and education. LPC/LMFT starting
salary is approximately $53,900, LCSW starting salary is approximately
$55,859. PRN (as needed positions may also be available with a different
salary scale.)
Schedule:
- Must have flexible schedule.
- Possible
overnight shifts, holiday work and overtime.
- Must be punctual and maintain good
attendance record.
- Must stay awake and alert on all shifts.
- The role of the WIC
Clinician is to ensure coverage is provided 24/7 despite any weather conditions
or holidays that arise.
Travel:
- Valid driver's license with F endorsement
required.
- Reliable vehicle required.
- This position requires utilizing a
personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business.
- Picking up clients from
community locations and hospitals in personal vehicle or company vehicle.
- Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of
employment.
QUALIFICATIONS - Walk In
Center Clinician
Education:
- Must have at least a Master's degree from an accredited
college or university in a health-related field of counseling, psychology,
social work, sociology, or a behavioral science field.
- Course work or experience in the areas of cultural
diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness,
alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and
developmental / intellectual disability.
- Must be licensed or license eligible.
Experience / Knowledge:
- Experience preferred in the social work field or a
behavioral health setting with extensive experience with special
populations including individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental
Illness, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis Disorders
preferred.
- Experience working in a crisis setting and
triage.
- Knowledge of community services for linkage and
referral.
- Computer experience is essential. Ability to learn and
utilize EMR and create documents within the program.
Physical:
- Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
- Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors.
- Hearing of normal to soft tones and close work.
- Valid driver's license.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping,
and reaching.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Required to be certified in and adequately implement
verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
- Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement
under pressure.
- Clinical staff members must possess reliable
transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's
license, and transport clients.
