COMPENSATION: Salary for this position starts at $12/hour depending on education and experience.


The position will prepare meals for inpatient treatment clients on the weekend. Maintains cleanliness and safety of kitchen, complying with public and state standards. Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens, grill, deep fryer and other kitchen equipment are to be cleaned regularly.  Meals are also made and and transported to the CSU.


  • HS Diploma or equivalent


  • Knowledge of nutritional needs, food ordering within budget parameters, food preparation, menu planning.  
  • Awareness of sanitary food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.   

  • Exposure to biological hazards. 
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones. 
  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. 
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.  
  • Staff will be required to work with gas ovens and stove, table top deep fry, industrial dish washer. 
  • This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running and walking.
