PRN Transportation Specialist

The Ideal PRN Transportation Specialist will

  • provide transportation services for clients
  • transportation to medical appointments, social service appointments, grocery stores, work, job interviews, etc
  • be responsible for monthly maintenance checks, cleanliness of vehicles, and reporting any vehicle issues to supervisor immediately
  • position will be responsible for documenting all trips for clients in a timely manner, as well as documenting mileage, destinations, and fuel amounts

Schedule: This position is an "as needed" position. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the program and clients.

Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. An F Endorsement is required as staff members may be required to provide transportation in their personal vehicle. Staff members are reimbursed for use of their vehicle for this purpose.

Equipment/Technology: This position does require computer skills for financial ledgers, timekeeping, scheduling and use of electronic medical records entry, and extensive experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Outlook).

QUALIFICATIONS - PRN Transportation Specialist

Education:

  • High school degree or equivalent

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Experience/ knowledge/front line service delivery in domestic violence or other victim services is preferred.
  • Survivors of violence and those exposed to domestic violence are encouraged to apply.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
