The Ideal Family Support Specialist is able to serve clients who are in need of a higher level of care, while helping provide stability to youth and family. The Family Support Specialist must be a parent or designated primary caregiver of child/youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorder and experience in navigating child-serving systems. Self-identify as the primary caregiver of a child or youth with mental, emotional, behavioral or co-occurring disorder who has successfully navigated the child-serving systems to access treatment and resources necessary to build resiliency and foster success in the home, school, and community.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $13.27/hr based on relevant experience and education.
Schedule: The Family Support Specialist will need to have a flexible schedule. Typical office hours are 8-5 Monday- Friday. However the Family Support Specialist will have to be able to adjust their schedule based off individual client needs.
Travel: The Family Support Specialist will be involved in travel. The counties served are Sevier, Blount, Anderson, Loudon, and Knox. The Family Support Specialist will be expected to travel to all of the counties listed and will need a reliable vehicle.
Equipment/Technology: The FSS will be issued a surface pro and a work cell phone. The FSS will need to be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and be able to work a smart phone.
