Centerpointe RN

The Centerpointe RN:

  • Functions as a shift leader with the Medical Director and the Medical Services Coordinator.  
  • Is available for selected 24/7 on-call medical questions and/or admissions protocol inquires, completes chart reviews, utilization management for grant and insurance clients.
  • Initial medical assessments of clients during intake, and providing appropriate nursing care for Medical Detox, Medically Monitored Detox and Residential Services.  
  • Prepares reports, adheres to all compliance, licensure, funder and agency standards.  
  • Provides direct care to clients in the Detox/Residential setting. 

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $28.00 / hr based on relevant experience and education.

Scheduling:  Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the program Nursing Shifts are 12 hr shifts with the expectation of participating in the on call schedule.

Travel: N/A

Equipment/Technology: Basic computer skills are required for time keeping, email, and documentation in the electronic medical record.

QUALIFICATIONS - Centerpointe RN

Education: 

  • RN degree with a current Tennessee license and experience in a behavioral health related field.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Prefer at least 1 year experience working with special populations including individuals with substance use/abuse and/or addiction, severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and dual diagnosis disorders as well as experience working in a crisis setting.  
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
