Registered Nurse (Human Resources)

The Human Resources RN is responsible for implementation of the employee benefits and the wellness program (health incentives, health fair, flu shots, mammograms, medic, TB testing, CPR/1st Aid). Responsible for yearly health fairs and location specific well-being events. Train on well-being, CPR, and TB in orientation weekly in Knoxville and Chattanooga. Administers flu shots.

This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.


Education/Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Nursing with License or Licensed RN.

Experience: At least 1 years of related benefit or HR experience preferred.

Skills: Software and computer skills, Excel, databases. Advanced verbal and written communication, training skills. Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Active listening-giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand their issue, ask questions and not interrupt at inappropriate times. Nurse case management and health related problem solving.

Abilities: Be able to work with internal and external customers to implement a complex benefit portfolio, well-being program and nurse coaching program. Able to sit or stand for long periods and do close computer working. Hearing of normal tones. Some lifting occasionally up to 25 pounds. Requires speaking abilities and training techniques. Requires perception of speech. Must be able to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents, apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks. One day per week travel to Chattanooga.

Full time annual salary starts at approximately $48,762 depending on relevant experience and education.

The McNabb Center ( is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services.  The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient, and crisis services.
