The Ideal Children's CSU Residential Counselor serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing education, rehabilitation, and support for the client population. Introduces and teaches key recovery concepts through a strengths based, client centered, and EBP service delivery. Delivers direct care services as part of the milieu for clients and families served through the Children's CSU and/or Family Walk In Center. This position requires chart/clinical documentation and direct service delivery, as well as being a liaison with East Tennessee Children's Hospital (ETCH).
COMPENSATION: Salary range for this position starts at approximately $12.95/hour for HS/equivalent; $13.88/per hour for bachelor's depending on relevant experience and education. Shift differential: 5% for 2nd shift; 10% for 3rd shift.
Schedule: The Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) will operate 24/7, 365 days a year. The holder of this position will be expected to work shifts that meet the needs of the program operation, which may include day, night, weekend, and holiday hours. Regular attendance is an essential job function. Mandatory to remain awake and alert during shift.
Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
Equipment/Technology: This position requires the use of computer skills with an electronic medical record (EMR), and telehealth/televideo services may be offered as part of the service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS - Children's CSU Residential Counselor
Education: A bachelor's degree in a health related field of counseling, psychology, social work, or a HS Diploma with three years' experience working with individuals with mental illness, special populations with co-occurring and dual diagnoses preferred.
