The Telephonic Response Clinician will be responsible for receiving and triaging Center-wide on-call and appropriately linking client/family/community partner with resources or information. Acts as a liaison between Center staff and community. Completes scanning and data entry as needed.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $17.19 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule: 

  • Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the community. 
  • Days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Travel: N/A

Equipment/Technology

  • Basic computer skills are required for time keeping, email, and documentation in the electronic medical record.

QUALIFICATIONS - Telephonic Response Clinician

Education: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology and experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or co-occurring diagnoses.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Must have course work and or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and crisis intervention. 
  • A minimum of one year's experience in working with special populations including individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Co-Occurring Disorders. 
  • Must have experience in assessment and referral to community resources.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
