The ideal Client Benefits Data Specialist will be responsible for providing a wide array of support for field-based evaluation projects, including: process monitoring and assessment; data collection within required timeframes; data entry; data base maintenance; assisting in provision of ongoing internal and external reports by providing support to  the evaluator in the dissemination and utilization of evaluation information and other grant requirements. Candidate must have the capacity to work independently, as well as with a team, to be able to manage responsibilities for multiple projects simultaneously.  Responsible for management of client information, involving all Center healthcare records and front office procedures. Understanding of and sense of judgment in maintaining records for all clients. Provides quality customer service and support for clients, Center workforce, and other professionals. Answers/returns phone calls, schedules appointments, and checks client benefit eligibility on a daily basis.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $15.04 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:  This positions work schedule is 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. 40 hours a week, 80 hours per pay period.

Travel: No daily travel is required for this position only mandatory center trainings at other locations.

Equipment/Technology: Working Knowledge of Computer & Phones

QUALIFICATIONS - Client Benefits Data Specialist

Education: 

  • Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare records management and switchboard/receptionist experience preferred.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Must have at least (2) years of data entry experience and have sufficient computer skills and knowledge of technology. 
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and appropriately prioritize tasks. 
  • Must be customer service oriented. 

Physical:

  • Exposure to biological hazards. 
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones. 
  • Close eye work. 
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. 
  • Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. 
  • There may be frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. 
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time. 
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. 
  • Effective communication skills, strong time management, and organizational skills are necessary to manage day to day job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. 
  • Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
