Client Engagement Scheduling Specialist

The Ideal Client Engagement Scheduling Specialist:

  • provides daily response to all calls directed to every location and schedule
  • has direct knowledge of the electronic medical records required
  • has excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • has exemplary organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • has knowledge of clients' needs and clinical workflow
  • maintains and understands insurance eligibility information
  • assumes responsibility for correctly entering all required appointment information on established and new clients into the EMR Scheduling system
  • upholds and abides patient confidentiality policies and procedures
  • directs clients according to the proper facility to assure they receive the proper assistance needed.

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $14.76 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Scheduling: Full time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with weekends and Center designated holidays off.

Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business and maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. Position may require travel to other McNabb worksites.

Equipment/Technology: Basic computer skills for email, scheduling, electronic medical records, and time keeping are required.

QUALIFICATIONS - Client Engagement Scheduling Specialist


  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.  
  • Experience in the area of administrative duties, and scheduling preferred.


  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a professional healthcare office environment.  
  • Customer service orientation skills required.  
  • Must be comfortable with computers and technology. 
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with positive phone manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and appropriately prioritize tasks are required.


  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards..
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones.
  • Close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Applicants should possess the ability to relate to individuals and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational levels, and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. 
  • Effective communication skills, strong time management, and organizational skills are necessary to manage day to day job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. 
  • Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license, and transport clients.
