HIV Wraparound Specialist

The HIV Wraparound Specialist will provide wraparound services to HIV and to extremely high-risk HIV- clients which includes:

  • recruit, organize, facilitate and record HIV tests to high-risk target populations.
  • provide services in the form of education, outreach, testing, health communication/public information and individual level risk reduction counseling to diverse groups of high-risk target populations. 

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $16.09 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule: Must have good attendance and begin workday at assigned time. Schedule may change to fit the needs of the client.  In-person daily attendance essential for this position unless otherwise permitted by Supervisor.

Travel: Must be willing to travel. Must possess valid driver's license and must possess or obtain F Endorsement. Must be able to provide transportation as needed in personal vehicle.

Equipment/Technology: Close computer work required.  Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software products quickly. Working with electronic records is required. Must be able to maintain work cell phone and be available for clientele/staff during work schedule. Able to utilize social media

QUALIFICATIONS - HIV Wraparound Specialist

Education: 

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in public health, social science, education ore health-related field, or Licensed Alcohol/Drugs of Abuse Counselor (LADAC).

Experience / Knowledge

  • One year of experience in case management and/or HIV/AIDs preferred.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
