The PRN Special Event Specialist
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
Summary of position:
- Position entails activities of key components of the Development Department: marketing, communications, and development/fundraising.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings between artists and clients for the Breakthrough Gala- A creative journey between local artists and McNabb Center clients.
- Provide after-hours access to McNabb Center facilities for meetings.
- Assists with event organization and strategic digital marketing initiatives.
- Creates various promotional material and content for multiple communication platforms for special events.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Development
- Participate in coordination and implementation of fundraising and community/internal events
- Create and distribute marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, programs, etc
- Organize and maintain event contacts and distribution lists
- Provide volunteer coordination assistance for special events
- Assist with other special projects as needed
2. Marketing/Communications
- Approve and monitor program-level social media accounts and lead staff on effective social media engagement; provide assistance and support as necessary to help staff develop and implement social strategies for their individual programs.
- Coordinate and design email marketing in conjunction with the Breakthrough Gala and other special events.
3. Content Management/Publications
- Design layout for special event publications including but not limited to flyers, posters, banners, and sponsor brochures.
- Assist with basic photography and submit to marketing department.

COMPENSATION:
- Starting salary for this position is approximately $20.00/hour.
Schedule:
- Position will work as-needed hours based on needs of the program. Will include evenings and weekends.
Travel:
- This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. An F endorsement is required.
QUALIFICATIONS - PRN Special Event Specialist
Experience / Knowledge:
- Marketing, development or related field preferable; Software skills must include Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat.); and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Education / License:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred. Knowledge of current practices in marketing, fundraising and community development, as well as the behavioral health field.
Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:
- Exposure to biological hazards.
- Hearing of normal and soft tones.
- Close eye work.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
